Prophet:  Malachi 1:1-2:9
Writing:  Wisdom of Solomon 11:26-12:27
Psalm:  78, part 1
Epistle:  Galatians 4:1-31
Gospel: John 15:1-27

Collect:   Gracious Father, you have blessed us in many ways.   You have given us Moses and the prophets, and raised Jesus from the dead to show us the way.  Grant that we would pay attention so as to follow you to the gates which lead to eternal bliss that we may join with Abraham and all the saints in the banquet with you.  This we ask in the name of Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting.

3 September:  Dear Lord, as the faith in Papua New Guinea was watered by martyrs willing to give up all for you, help us to also be always ready to make that final sacrifice for you, this we ask in the name of him who died for us.  Amen.  (red)  (Transferred from 2 September)

4 September:  Great Giver of All, we remember the young of our congregations and communities who will not get to college without our support. Help us to share with those institutions that provide for their training and development. For Yeshua' sake. Amen.

5 September:  O God of Hope, we remember before you all those whose situations of need cause them to despair. Speak to us anew that we may become the means of
bringing hope to a hopeless and helpless people. In the name of Yeshua.
Amen.

6 September:  Holy God, we confess that we have broken our covenant with you and have not been faithful to our vows with one another. Lead us by your grace to find peace with you and with all of our neighbours. For the sake of Yeshua HaMoshiach our Lord. Amen.

7 September:  Merciful God, use our church family scattered in various places to show forth your praise in all that we do. Let us as individuals build up our
church families. Grant us grace to accept others in their struggles so that they may draw near to you. In the precious name of Yeshua. Amen.

8 September:  Gracious God, we pray that you will draw us all nearer to you. Strengthen the devotion of those who are falling away and inspire anew all those whose doubts burden them. In the matchless name of Yeshua. Amen.
