Torah: Deuteronomy 8:1-20 Prophet: Zechariah 9:1-17 Writing: Wisdom of Solomon 5:15-23 Psalm: Epistle: II Corinthians 11 Gospel: John 12:1-10 Collect: Gracious Father, you command us to prepare for the kingdom by doing justice, loving with all our hearts and walking humbly with you. Help us to be faithful servants building up treasures in heaven by serving you through our neighbours here on earth. This we ask in the name of Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen 30 July: God of the Covenant, your word inspires us to live in relationship to your call. Help us to follow the example of William Wilberforce, that we may constantly defend the poor, help those with no helper, and seek the kingdom. We pray with him, that you would take us away from ourselves, and let us belong completely to you, take away from us everything that keeps us apart from you, and grant us everything that draws us closer to you, this we ask, through Yeshua, who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. (white) 1 August: Dear Lord, as you guided Yosef of Arimathea to follow and bury the Messiah, and to eventually carry the Gospel to Great Brittain, raise up in this and every land missionaries who would publicly serve Yeshuah and truly proclaim the Gospel. This we ask in the name of him who was buried by Yosef, only to rise from the dead on the third day, Yeshuah, our risen Saviour. Amen. (white) 2 August (Transferred from July 29) Blessed Father, you raised up Mary and Martha of Bethany to serve our Lord, each in her own way. Grant that we may serve you directly and though others with the same love that Mary and Martha had, this we ask through our Lord and Saviour, Yeshuah, who lives and reigns with you and Ruach haKodesh, one God in Glory everlasting. Amen. (white) 3 August Help us, O Lord, to remember those who need us to make it through another day. Supply their needs and transform their lives into service for you. Give us grace to share the blessing and reverence of your creation. Through Yeshua HaMoshiach our Lord. Amen. . 4 August: Lord of All, your mercy extends beyond any borders we know. Your rule of justice reaches out to all of creation, and we are grateful. Your love is abundantly available to all who seek to know you. May the lost find you near.
