we can respond to your calling. Have mercy on us humbly; through Jesus
our anointed King. Amen.

Ash Wednesday:  Almighty and everlasting God, you hate nothing that you have made, and you forgive the sins of all those who are penitent.  Create and make in us new and contrite hearts, that we, worthily lamenting our sins and acknowledging our wretchedness, may receive from you, the God of all mercy, perfect remission and forgiveness of our sins.  We make our prayer through Yeshuah haMoshiach, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one  God, now and forever. 10 February: Transfiguration

This is the last Sunday before Lent begins, so only three more days to plan for Lent.  If you would like  a guide, email me and I will send you one.  Otherwise, in Lent it is a tradition to give up meat.  It is also a tradition to fast completely on Wednesdays and Fridays.   Lent can be a time of reconciliation and a time to prepare for Baptism.   Or next Baptism will be at the great vigil of Easter.  In addition, Lent is a good time to add things to your life, studying God's word, prayer, mediation, mission work.  Hopefully most things we do for Lent might end up being part of our Christian life permanently.
