I Kingdomtide: 30 October 2011

Prophet: Joel 1:1-2:2
Writing: Ecclesiastes 9:11-11:8
Psalm: 7
Epistle: I Corinthians 5: 1-6:20

Collect: Almighty Father, your Son taught that he will return at the last day to be our Judge. Through your Spirit keep us ever awake and vigilant, ready to welcome the glorious return of your Son, Yeshua haMoshiach, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God, now and forever. Amen.

24 October: Oh Lord, as James the Just, brother of Yeshuah worked for reconciliation through prayer and preaching, grant that we too may fervently pray for the kingdom. This we ask through Yeshuah, who lives and reins with you and Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen. (red)

25 October: Precious Saviour, how happy we are to know you will relieve us of our
troubles. Give us the faith to leave our burdens and troubles with you.
Calm our troubled hearts and be with us through the challenges of this
day. This we ask through our Lord and Saviour Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

26 October: Heavenly Father, as Alfred rebuilt England and restored the church, he also witnessed to his enemy Guthrum and persuaded him to receive Messiah. Grant that we too, would pray and witness to all the world, whether they be our friends or foes. This we ask through Yeshuah who lives and reins with you and Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen. (white)

27 October: Adoring Father, your love for us is beyond our comprehension. We humbly attempt to show our adoration for you. You have kept your promises; forgive us our lies. Teach us how to love you and how to worship you so that we may be saved. Amen.

28 October: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the example of Simon and Jude who were zealots for the faith, and who gave their lives for you. Grant us strength and courage to live and die for you as well. This we ask through our Lord and Saviour Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen. (red)

29 October: Charitable Father, all we have comes from you. You have shown yourself to us and offered us your word, that we may know you, but still we turn away. We humbly ask forgiveness when we forsake you. This we ask through our Lord and Saviour Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.
