Septuagesima Sunday: 20 February 2011

Torah: Leviticus 5:1-18
Prophet: Ezekiel 29:1-30:26
Writing: Job 16:1-17:16
Psalm:
For the Epistle: Acts 14: 8-28
Gospel: Luke 8:26-39
Collect: Lord, by your word were the possessed freed and people healed. Speak into our hearts that we would be freed from all that oppresses or possesses us that we may know that true freedom, the forgiveness of our sins. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

February 14: Lord our God, you raised Cyril and Methodius to proclaim the Gospel in a hostile land and gave them intellectual gifts to translate, create an alphabet, and teach, so raise up in this and every land bishops and ministers who are willing to persevere to the end in proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord Yeshuah haMoshiach. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen. (white)

February 15: Loving God, when all seems impossible and without any solution, we are once again reminded that you are the creator of the universe and in you
the entire world is contained. Help, O Lord, that we can be assured of
your grace and mercy. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

February 16: Most gracious God and Lord, the world's almighty Savior, we indeed acknowledge you as the author of our salvation. Through our Lord Yeshua HaMoshiach, your Son, we are redeemed and set free. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

February 17: In times of discouragement, depression, disappointment, and despair, help us to place our complete trust in you, Lord, our God. Then our hearts can rest in peace and we sing with joy for the victory. Thank you for your presence. Amen.

February 18: Dear Lord, you raised up Martin Luther to challenge the church in its errors to reform its ways. Guide the church today that she may always be ready to correct errors and seek you in your word and sacraments. This we ask in the name of our Lord Yeshuah haMoshiach, who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

February 19: Loving God, in spite of the many ways we are treated by the arrogance
and selfish pride of others, we have come to realize that you are always
present to offer a helping hand when the entire world appears to be
falling on us. Remind us of your mercy and unending love. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.
