27 June 2010: 4th Sunday of Gracetide (proper 4)

Torah: Exodus 1:1-2:10
Prophet: Jeremiah 47:1-7
Writing: Proverbs 10:1-32
Psalm: 119:81-88
Epistle: Hebrews 6:1-20
Gospel: Mark 5:1-20
Collect of the Day: Gracious Father, you desire not the death of a sinner but rather his repentance, conversion, and rebirth unto eternal life. By the power of your Spirit, convict our hearts to know and grieve the error of our ways and to flee unto the saving mercy of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

21 June: Eliyahu (transferred from Sunday): Heavenly Father, as Eliyahu had faith in you to call drought upon the land, and to call its end, and to raise the dead, may we be so inspired by his steadfast faith that we may be made worthy through the blood of Yeshua to join him in worship of you in heavenly places. This we ask through our Lord and Saviour Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen. (white)

22 June: Heavenly Father, you raised up Alban to be the first martyr in Britain. Grant that we too may be willing to give all for our Lord. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach, our Lord, who lives and reins with you and Ruach haKodesh, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

23 June: Yeshua, there are times when we find it difficult to turn back to you; when we feel too guilty or too separated from you. Help us to always remember that your love is so great that, while we were still sinners, you died for our sins and brought us back into the fold. Nothing can separate us from your love. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

24 June: Lord, John the Baptist was born to ready the way for Yeshuah, leaping for joy at the sound of Miriam’s voice. Grant us the will and strength to prepare our families and neighbours to join with us in following the Lord Yeshua, no matter where it leads. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen. (white)

25 June: O Lamb of God, forgive us when our worship is passive and irreverent in your presence. Forgive us when we talk only casually about your death and resurrection. Give us passion that comes from believing what we profess. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

26 June: Yeshua HaMoshiach, Head of your church, give peace to your body. Bid our quarrels to cease, renew our communion to each other, and bind us eternally to you. May our confession of faith forever be your death and resurrection. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach who lives and reigns with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.
